CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Bethel Wildcats opened play in the 2023 Mid-South Conference Championships Friday against Thomas More in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

The opening round is the best of three series and each opening round winner advances to Bowling Green Ballpark for the remainder of the tournament.
The No. 9 seeded Wildcats fell 8-0 to the No. 4 seeded Saints.
Thomas More outhit Bethel 9-8.
After scoring a single run in the third, the Saints scored two runs in the fifth and a single run in the sixth. A two run seventh and a two run eighth put the game away for TMU.
Luke Boswell was charged with the loss. Mychal Grogan picked up the TMU victory.
Thomas More moved to 31-17 while Bethel dropped to 18-29.
Bethel was 1-2 versus the Saints during the regular season. All three games were played in McKenzie.
Game two of the series will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday with game three at 3 p.m. if necessary.
