HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Bethel Wildcats and the (RV) Freed-Hardeman Lions played the first game of a three game MSC weekend series Friday evening in Henderson.
A four run third inning was all the Lions needed enroute to a 7-1 victory. FHU scored two runs in the seventh and a single run in the eighth to cap off the six run win.
Bethel's only run came in the seventh when Jake McDaniel drove in Zayden McCaslin with an RBI single.
The Lions outhit Bethel 9-6.
Luke Boswell suffered the Wildcat loss.
Alex Huey picked up the Freed victory. Houston High was credited with the save.
The Wildcats dropped to 12-27 overall and 8-14 in the MSC.
Freed-Hardeman moved to 26-16 and 13-9.
The teams close out the series with a doubleheader Saturday beginning at noon.
