MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Lady Wildcats moved to 17-6 with a 3-0 win over visiting Lyon College Saturday afternoon. Bethel won 28-26, 25-16 and 25-20.
It was Bethel's eighth win in their last 10 games. Lyon dropped to 9-12. The Scots have lost four of their last five.
Bethel beat the Scots 3-2 in late September in Batesville.
Hannah McGowan led the Cats with 15 kills and 13 digs. Nayeli Vilchez had a game high 30 assists. Sami Parker contributed with 10 digs.
Before the game, Bethel Director of Athletics Brad Chappell presented Bethel Coach Starla Cupples a commemorative ball in honor of her recent 300th career win.
The Cats return to league action Tuesday traveling to Freed-Hardeman with action beginning at 7 p.m.
