HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Lady Wildcats began their four game road trip Thursday losing at Freed-Hardeman. The Cats fell 25-22, 21-25, 18-25, 25-15 and 13-15. Bethel fell to 3-7 overall and 2-5 in the MSC. Bethel remained winless on the road at 0-5. FHU moved to 13-8 and 2-4.
It was the 34th meeting between the two programs with FHU holding an 18-16 lead in the series.
Hannah McGowan had 20 kills and 18 digs. Addison Coulter had 16 kills. Katelyn Van Hooser was credited with 30 assists. Maggie Brooks contributed with 19 assists and 10 digs. Lindsey Christianson had 16 digs while Brianna Monk finished with 10 digs.
The Wildcats travel to Williamsburg, Kentucky for a match versus University of the Cumberlands Friday at 6 p.m. CST. A JV match will precede the varsity game.
