MCKENZIE, Tenn. – After the Wildcats dropped the first game of their series versus Pikeville Friday, they came back to win the next two, capped off by their 8-3 victory Saturday.
Bethel scored three runs in the first and four in the sixth to win the nine inning affair.
Nick Proto had the big bat slugging two home runs and driving in three runs. Logan Beecham knocked in three runs for the Cats who moved to 3-4 overall and 2-1 in the MSC. John Figuroa also drove in a Wildcat runner.
The Cats outhit the Bears 11-6.
UPIKE fell to 4-6 and 1-2.
Alex Valcarel was the winning hurler. UPIKE's Nolan Fernandez suffered the loss.
Bethel returns to action Friday and Saturday hosting Campbellsville. The squads will play a single game Friday at 4 p.m. The two meet in a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m.
