MCKENZIE, Tenn. – After going 0-4 in the SSAC/MSC Vette Classic last week the Bethel Lady Wildcats played host to the Phoenix of Cumberland University Tuesday night in Crisp Arena. The Lady Wildcats battled until the very end but remain winless on the year falling to 0-5 after a 3-2 loss to the visitors from Lebanon.
CU won 25-17, 24-26, 24-26, 25-20 and 15-13.

The Lady Wildcats, despite the loss have a 15-9 lead in the series and are 8-3 in McKenzie versus CU. The Phoenix moved to 5-4 on the year.
The Lady Cats return to action this weekend in the Milligan Mountain Madness in Elizabethton, Tennessee. They meet the University of Michigan-Dearborn Friday at 1 p.m. and Union College at 3 p.m. The Lady Wildcats face St. Andrews University Saturday morning at 8 a.m. and wrap up play facing host school Milligan College at 2 p.m.
