MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The No. 21 Bethel Wildcat Soccer squad opened the 2019 season Saturday at Wildcat Stadium hosting the Patriots of the University of the Cumberlands.
Two second period goals by 1st Team All-SSAC performer Pascal Mohungsi was the difference as the Cats beat the Patriots 2-0.
It was sixth meeting between the two programs with U of C now holding a 4-2 advantage in the series.
The Wildcats outshot the visitors from the Commonwealth 10-8. Bethel had four shots on goal while the Patriots managed only one versus the Wildcat defense.
Bethel returns to action Wednesday hosting Union College at 4 p.m.
