BELLEVILLE, IL-The Bethel Wildcats pounded out 20 hits and routed Lindenwood University-Belleville 13-5 in Belleville, Illinois Tuesday afternoon. Bethel ran their record to 20-13 while LUB dropped to 16-18.
The Wildcats scored four runs in the third, one in the fifth, two in the eighth and broke the game open with six runs in the ninth.
Ruber Medina led the attack with three hits including a home run. He drove in five runs in the win. Juan Torres had four hits. Sebastian Cortes and Jacob Foster each drove in two runs while Randy Guevarez and Nicholas Proto each had an RBI.
Ryan Robertson was the winning hurler for Bethel.
The Wildcats return home for a weekend series Friday and Saturday hosting SSAC foe # 8 Middle Georgia State. Doubleheader action begins Friday at 4 p.m. with a single game scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday.
