MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Wildcats beat the visiting Florida College Falcons 2-0 Friday night at Wildcat Stadium in McKenzie. The No. 11 Cats moved to 9-3-2 overall and 2-1-1. Florida College lost their third straight and dropped to 6-7-1 and 2-3-1. It was the first visit to McKenzie by Florida College with Bethel leading the series 2-0.
Pascal Mohungsi scored a first period goal to give the Cats a 1-0 margin after one. Alphonso Gooden had the assist on the score. Damani Haris scored in the second period to give the Wildcats the 2-0 victory. Mohungsi was credited with the assist. Bethel's Luis Borja recorded two saves on the night.
Bethel had a commanding 21-4 advantage on shots and a 6-3 margin in shots on goal.
The Wildcats return to action Thursday hosting Middle Georgia State at 7:30 p.m.
