MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The No. 11 Bethel Wildcats lost their first home match of the season Tuesday night falling in overtime 2-1 to Williams Baptist.
Bethel dropped to 8-3-2 and 3-1-2 at home on the season. WBU improved to 7-2-3 on the year.
Bethel leads the all-time series 2-1.
The Wildcats had a commanding advantage in shots at 23-4 and had a 4-2 margin in shots on goal. Ryan Davey scored Bethel's only goal. Stefano Silva scored the game winner with eight minutes left in overtime.
Bethel resumes play Friday night hosting Florida College in SSAC action. The match begins at 7:30 p.m. The Lady Wildcats host Florida College at 5 p.m.
