MCKENZIE, Tenn. – Two of the hottest volleyball squads in the SSAC collided in Crisp Arena Friday night and the Bethel Lady Wildcats prevailed in a marathon match winning 3-2 over the Mobile Rams.
Bethel remained unbeaten at home on the season winning 23-25, 25-11, 13-25, 25-21 and 15-9. The Lady Cats improved to 6-0 in Crisp Arena. They are 9-3 overall and 3-1 in the league. The Rams are 12-5 and 4-1. Mobile had won four in a row. Bethel snapped a three game losing streak to the Rams.
Several Wildcats put up huge numbers in the win. Rachael Gunn had 31 kills. Hannah McGowan finished with 13 kills. Jessyca Watson followed with 11 kills. Brianca Mayfield contributed with 10 kills. Katelyn Van Hooser had 28 assists and 13 digs. Giulia Zilotti had 10 assists.
Bethel will host conference rival Faulkner Saturday at 1 p.m.
