COCHRAN, Ga. – The Bethel Wildcats won their fifth straight with a 4-0 win over Middle Georgia State Thursday night in Cochran. Bethel moved to 7-2 overall and 1-0 in the SSAC. MGS fell to 1-7-1 and 0-1. Bethel leads the series against the Knights 5-0.
First period goals by Jaiquan Bristol, Wilson Musyoka and Jose Amuedo gave the Wildcats a 3-0 advantage at the end of the first period.
Leonardo Ferreira scored the lone goal in the second period.
Ferreira and Pascal Mohungsi were credited with assists in the match.
Bethel outshot MGS 14-5 and had an 8-2 margin in shots on goal.
The Wildcats travel to Brewton-Parker Saturday with action beginning at 3:30 p.m. CST.
