MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Wildcats ran their record to 4-2 on the season with a 2-1 victory over Concordia University Monday afternoon. The Cardinals fell to 2-4 on the year.
Concordia took a first period lead at the 24:16 mark on a goal by Steven Soboslay. The Wildcats tied the match with a Jaiquan Bristol goal less than five minutes later. Marshall Davis was credited with the assist. The teams went to the break tied at 1-1.
Three minutes into the second period Bernardo Torres scored off a rebound to give the Wildcats a 2-1 lead and victory.
Bethel outshot Concordia 17-6 and had an 11-4 shots on goal margin. Marco Taaffe had three saves in the match.
The Wildcats return to action Thursday hosting Welch College at 6 p.m.
