MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel men's soccer team captured their home opener Friday night at Wildcat Stadium beating Life University 3-0 in Bethel's Labor Day Classic. It was the second meeting ever between the two programs with Bethel winning both contests. The Cats won 1-0 at Life last year. The Wildcats ran their record to 2-2 on the season while the Eagles dropped to 0-3.
Bethel scored three first period goals for the victory.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
Bethel's Pascal Mohungsi scored two first period goals and had an assist.
Bernardo Torres scored a goal for the Wildcats.
Michael Nwafor had an assist.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Bethel had a 16-5 advantage in shots and an 8-2 shots on goal margin.
The Wildcats had a 5-3 margin in corner kicks.

The Cats return to action Monday to battle Truett-McConnell at 4 p.m. wrapping up the Labor Day Classic.
