MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Lady Cats ran their record to a perfect 3-0 with a 3-0 win over the visiting Cumberland University Phoenix Thursday night in Crisp Arena. It was the 22nd meeting between the two programs with Bethel holding a 14-8 advantage in the series. The Lady Cats have dominated in McKenzie holding an 8-2 margin. Bethel has won nine of the last ten in the series.
Bethel won 25-18, 25-22 and 25- 10.
Highlighted performances by Bethel:
Jessyca Watson and Rachael Gunn had 10 kills each. Katelyn Van Hooser had 15 assists and nine digs. Giulia Zilotti finished with 12 digs. Brooke Burress had 13 assists.
Cumberland fell to 2-4 on the year.
Bethel travels to Union University Tuesday for a 6 p.m. battle with the Lady Bulldogs.
