BLUE MOUNTAIN, MS – The Bethel Wildcats fell in their regular season finale Saturday dropping a 13-3 eight inning affair at Blue Mountain. The Cats had secured fifth place in the SSAC regular season with two wins at Blue Mountain Friday. Bethel won 11-4 and 10-3.
With the loss Saturday Bethel finished the regular season campaign at 22-22 overall and 12 -12 in the SSAC. Blue Mountain finished 28-21 and 10 -14.
Lucas Riddick drove in two runs while Sydney Rickman had the other RBI. Bretton Hazlewood suffered the loss.
Both teams will head to Montgomery, Alabama May 2-5 for the SSAC Championships.
The Wildcats are a No. 5 seed and will meet No. 4 seed William Carey Wednesday at 10 a.m. Bethel dropped two of the three games to WCU played in McKenzie this season.
