MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference released the 2018 SSAC Baseball All-Conference Teams and award winners at the 2018 SSAC Baseball Awards Banquet Tuesday evening.
First-, and Second-Team All-Conference, Gold Glove, All-Freshman, All-Academic and Musco Lighting Champions of Character Teams were announced, along with the year-end awards.
Several Bethel Wildcats were honored including 11 Wildcats named SSAC All-Academic.
Sportsmanship Award: Blue Mountain (Miss.)
Newcomer of the Year: Christian Snow, Mobile (Ala.)
Freshman of the Year: Peyton Nobles, Brewton-Parker (Ga.)
Pitcher of the Year: Braxton Rhodes, Mobile (Ala.)
Player of the Year: Reese Cooley, Faulkner (Ala.)
Coach of the Year: Patrick McCarthy, Faulkner (Ala.)

- The Wildcats are a No. 5 seed and will meet No. 4 seed William Carey Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the SSAC Championship in Montgomery. Bethel dropped two of the three games to WCU played in McKenzie this season.
