BARBOURVILLE, KY – If you like defense the Bethel men's soccer match at Union College was your type match. Both teams had their chances in a very physical affair but eventually finished scoreless in double overtime
Bethel (RV) outshot the Dogs 21-9 and had a 9-4 advantage in shots on goal.
Both goal keepers had great effort as Bethel's Marco Taaffe recorded four saves. Union's Pedro Muller Moreira kept his team in the match with seven saves.
The Wildcats are 10-2-1 while Union finished the day at 6-4-2. It was the first meeting ever between the two schools.
The Wildcats return to SSAC action Thursday night at home hosting No. 3 Mobile at 7:30 p.m. CST.
