MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Wildcats closed out their regular season with a 3-0 win on Senior Day Saturday at Wildcat Stadium. Bethel moved to 14-3-1 and 7-1 in the SSAC. Faulkner fell to 6-9-2 and 2-6.
Pascal Mohungsi gave Bethel a 1-0 lead with a first period goal. Muhammed Keita and David Boompong scored second period goals to ice the game away. Senior Marco Taaffe had three saves in the match.
Bethel had a 15-7 advantage in shots and a 9-3 margin in shots on goal.
The Cats move on to the SSAC Championships to be played in Montgomery beginning next weekend as the No. 2 seed.
