WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. –The Bethel Wildcat soccer squad moved to 9-2 on the season with a non-conference 2-1 overtime win at Williams Baptist Tuesday afternoon. It was Bethel's seventh straight victory. The Eagles fell to 4-5-1.
Williams Baptist led 1-0 at the end of the first period. Pascal Mohungsi tied the match in the second period. Bethel's Bernardo Torres headed in a shot off the cross bar for the Wildcat victory. Brandon Ndip was credited with the assist.
Bethel dominated the match with a 26-5 advantage in shots. The Cats had an 11-3 margin in shots on goal.
The Wildcats host arch-rival Martin Methodist in SSAC action Saturday at 4 p.m.
