MT VERNON , Ga. –The Bethel Lady Wildcats opened SSAC play this weekend on the road in Georgia. The Lady Cats hoped to continue their momentum after a 3-0 victory recently at Freed-Hardeman They did just that beating Middle Georgia State 3-0 Friday night.
They followed that up with a 3-1 win at Brewton Parker Saturday. Bethel won 19-25, 25-12, 25-19, and 25-11.
Brianca Mayfield had 11 kills while Jessyca Watson followed with 10 in the match. Katelyn Van Hooser had 22 assists and 11 digs. Brooke Burress had 17 assists. Giulia Zilotti and Daisy Liljenquist had 15 digs each.
Bethel moved to 6-7 on the season while BPU fell to 4-8.
The five game road stretch continues with a match against Faulkner Friday.
