MONTGOMERY, Ala. – After a shaky start to their season the Bethel Lady Wildcats have battled back with four straight victories and find themselves atop the standings of the SSAC with a 3-0 mark. With their 3-1 win at Faulkner Friday night Bethel also evened their overall record to 7-7. Faulkner fell to 9-4 and 2-1.
Bethel won 24-26, 25-19, 25-21, and 25-23. The match was the SSAC Volleyball Game of the Week.
Giulia Zilotti led Bethel with 32 digs. Daisy Liljenquist had 12 kills and 16 digs. Brooke Burress had 26 assists and 10 digs. Chelsey Smith contributed with 11 digs. Chloe Hopper had 11 kills while Jessyca Watson had 10 kills. Katelyn Van Hooser finished with 17 assists.
The Lady Cats travel to Mobile to face the (RV) Lady Rams Saturday at 2 p.m.
