MCKENZIE, Tenn. -The Bethel Wildcats played host to the red hot Fisk Bulldogs Tuesday night in Crisp Arena. The visitors from Nashville never trailed in the game. They led at halftime 32-29. The Wildcats had a couple of chances to take the lead in the second half but could never climb over the hump. Fisk pulled away taking a double digit lead at 57-47 with 3:36 left.
The Wildcats struggled from the floor hitting just 22-of-70 shots at 31 percent. The Cats were 4-of-27 from three-point range at 14 percent. They hit 7-of- 15 free throws.
Fisk shot 44 percent hitting 25-of-56 attempts from the field. They shot just 20 percent from the three-point arc hitting 3-of-15 attempts. The Dogs were 12-of-22 from the foul line.

Coach Jeff Britt said the inability to hit shots was the difference. "We really struggled from the field and twenty seven three pointers is too many. We are lacking a leader out there and that is hurting us. We will continue to work hard and improve. The two games this weekend will be against quality opponents and we will have to play well."
Bethel is back in action this weekend. The Wildcats meet Missouri Valley Friday at 8 p.m. in the Chick-Fil-A Classic. The earlier game pits Blue Mountain against Philander Smith at 6 p.m. Saturday the squads flip flop with BMC playing MVC at 2 p.m. Bethel closes out the Classic meeting Philander Smith at 4 p.m. The Lady Wildcats will host Life University at 6 p.m.
