MCKENZIE, Tenn. -The Bethel Wildcats returned to the court Saturday hosting the 2023 Thanksgiving Classic.
The Wildcats held a 54-44 lead with 15:35 left in the second half but could not hold on, eventually falling to Fisk 90-83.
The Wildcats dropped to 6-3 on the year while Fisk improved to 2-5.
Fisk shot 58 percent from the field. They outrebounded Bethel 33-21. The Wildcats shot 47 percent from the floor. Both squads knocked down eight three-pointers. Bethel struggled from the free throw line, hitting just seven of 14 attempts. Fisk was 14-of-18 from the line.
Querrion Gadson led the Wildcats with 28 points. Conner Guthrie hit six three pointers and had 24 points. Tyler Neely followed with 12 points.
Blake Goodman led Fisk with a game high of 33 points.
Bethel will meet Tougaloo (3-3) Sunday at 4 p.m. Fisk will meet Life (8-0) at 2 p.m.
Life beat Tougaloo earlier in the day.
