MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The No. 10 Bethel University Wildcats saw their season come to a close Saturday afternoon in Wildcat Stadium, falling 1-0 to the (RV) Columbia College Cougars in the second round of 2023 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship.
The Cougars will head to Wichita, Kan. to the NAIA National Championship final site. Scheels Stryker Sports Complex will be the host for final site action from November 27 – December 4, 2023, hosted by Visit Wichita.
A goal by Columbia's Miguel Gonzalez at the 38:51 mark was the only score of the game.
Bethel had a 4-1 margin in shots on goal, but the Cougars had a 14-13 advantage in shots.
The Wildcats had an 8-5 margin in corner kicks.
The Cats closed out the year at 13-5-1. The Cougars advanced with a 13-4-1 mark.
