MCKENZIE, Tenn. – After a tight first period that saw Bethel lead just 1-0 at the break, the Wildcats scored eight goals in the second to win 9-1 over the visiting Tigers of Georgetown Saturday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium.
Alioune Diop scored four goals in the victory. Rodrigo Atilano scored twice. Sergio Baguena, Antoine Ferez, Sebastain Bocaz Canales and Alphonso Gooden added single goals.
Pascal Mohungsi had a big day with four assists. Ferez and Santiago Tellez had single assists.
Bethel outshot the Tigers 20-2. The Wildcats had a 12 -2 advantage in shots on goal.
The Wildcats moved to 10-0 overall and 9-0 in the MSC. Georgetown dropped to 4-5-3 and 3-4-3.
Senior Ryan Davey was honored at halftime.
The Cats are scheduled to play Cumberland University in Lebanon Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
