ALEXANDRIA, La. –Due to a long lightning delay in the women's match and other weather related conditions, the Bethel Wildcat men's season opening soccer match against LSUA in Alexandria was cancelled Thursday afternoon.
Bethel Coach Malang Jarju said, "Due to the bad weather here in Alexandria they have decided to cancel the game for tonight. We will reschedule it in McKenzie sometime this month or next month. I am disappointed and the boys are disappointed as well but safety of our athletes comes first."
The Cats will face LSUS in Shreveport Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
