PULASKI, Tenn. –The Bethel Lady Wildcats and the Martin Methodist RedHawks faced off in an early SSAC showdown Friday night in Pulaski. Both squads entered the action undefeated in league action at 2-0. The Lady Wildcats lost 3-1 falling 26-24, 26-28, 25-21 and 25-18. It was the first of four straight SSAC road games for Bethel.
The Lady Cats dropped to 7-9 and 2-1. Martin Methodist moved to 8-5 and 3-0. Bethel is 9-5 in Pulaski and leads the series 20-10.
Arielly de Souza had a fine effort with 16 kills and 18 digs. Hannah McGowan was on her usual game with 17 kills and 13 digs. Katelyn Van Hooser was consistent again with 18 assists and 13 digs. Maggie Brooks was strong with 13 digs and 18 assists.
Bethel resumes play Saturday at Faulkner with action beginning at 1 p.m.
