BELLEVILLE, IL – The Bethel Lady Wildcats ran their record to 5-0-1 with a resounding 7-0 win at Lindenwood University –Belleville Saturday. Lindenwood fell to 1-4 on the year.
The Wildcats went to work early by scoring the game's first goal in the 11th minute of play and they went on to score three more times in the first half in the 14th, 22nd and 26th minute as they took a 4-0 lead into halftime. Janine Dennis had all four goals for Bethel.
Dennis would add two more goals in the second period. Jodi Butler also scored a goal to give the Wildcats the convincing victory. Shanray Ricketts recorded six saves for Bethel with most of those coming in the second period.
Bethel's Brittany Bray recorded three assists. Sacha Gay Brown had two assists. Danijela Kolaric and Elvira Martin each were credited with an assist.
Bethel had a 16-10 advantage in shots and a 14-7 margin in shots on goal.
The Wildcats resume action on September 23 hosting Campbellsville at 6:30 p.m.
