ST. LOUIS, MO- Timely scoring and a stout defense was again the norm for the Bethel Lady Wildcats as they remained unbeaten on the season with a 3 -1 win at Missouri Baptist Thursday afternoon in St. Louis. Bethel is 4-0-1 while the Spartans dropped to 0-6 on the year.
Janine Dennis and Jodi Butler scored first period goals to give the Cats a 2-0 lead at the break. Dennis added another goal in the second period to give Bethel a 3-0 margin. MBU scored to cut the Wildcat lead to 3-1.
Shanearay Wilkins and Emily Raines picked up assists in the match.
The Cats had a decisive advantage in shots with a 17-5 margin. Bethel had a big margin in shots on goal at 10-1.
