TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats opened up SSAC action with a convincing 11-1 win in game one of their doubleheader at Stillman College Friday afternoon in Tuscaloosa. Stillman bounced back with a 2-1 win in ten innings in game two. Bethel finished the day at 5-6 overall and 1-1 in SSAC play. Stillman is 8-6 and 1-1.
Highlights in game one included:
Game two was a heartbreaker for the Lady Wildcats as Stillman scored a run in the bottom of the tenth for the victory. Cochran drove in a run in the top of the seventh to tie the game. Billie Douglas went the distance but suffered the hard luck loss.
The teams meet again Saturday for a twin bill at 11 a.m.
