MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Wildcats dropped a doubleheader to the visiting Mobile Rams Friday afternoon at the Kahlden Complex in McKenzie. In the conference openers for both clubs the Rams won both low scoring games by the score of 2-1.
A two run first by the Rams in game one proved to be all the scoring Mobile needed. Logan Talley hit a solo homer in the sixth which was Bethel's only run of the day.
Kyle Friday picked up the Ram win while Trevor Bishop was the hard luck loser for the Wildcats.
A two run second in game two did the trick for the Rams in game two. Logan Talley hit another solo shot giving Bethel's only run in the seventh.
Jordan Taylor was the winner while Brandon Denegaard suffered the Bethel loss.
The Rams improved to 10-4 while the Wildcats fell to 8-7.
The teams meet Saturday in a single game beginning at noon.
