WALNUT RIDGE, AR – The Bethel Lady Wildcats climbed over the .500 mark with a couple of wins at Williams Baptist in Walnut Ridge Tuesday. Bethel improved to 8-7 while WBC fell to 5-10 on the season. The Lady Wildcats have won three of their last four outings.
The Lady Cats struck for four runs in the second in game one in route to a 5-2 win. The big blow was a three run triple by Alexis Wheeler. Iesha Kizer and Makenzie drove in a run each. Maddie Cochran went the distance allowing just six hits and one earned run.
Bethel used the long ball in game two beating WBC 9-5. Gillian Grahn hit two homers and drove in three runs. Kizer homer and drove in three. Jezabelle Quintana had an RBI and had three hits. Wheeler also drove in run. Billie Douglas picked up the Wildcat victory.
The Lady Cats return home to host SSAC foe Brewton-Parker in a set of doubleheaders Friday and Saturday. Friday's action begins at 3 p.m. while the two squads will square off for a twin-bill at 1 p.m. Saturday.
