DALTON, Ga. - It was billed as the SSAC Men's Soccer Game of the Week and it went down to the wire between the No. 15 Bethel Wildcats and the (RV) Roadrunners of Dalton State in Dalton, Georgia Thursday. The match did not disappoint as the Wildcats prevailed 3-2.
DSU led 1-0 at the break but Bethel's Pascal Mohungsi came up huge in the second period scoring three goals to give the Wildcats the huge road win. The hat trick gives him 18 goals on the season.
Bethel moved to 12-3-2 overall and 5-1-1 in the league. DSU fell to 11-4-1 and 3-3. It was Bethel's fourth consecutive win.
Bethel had an 11-10 advantage in shots and a 7-6 margin in shots on goal.
The Wildcats close out their regular season Saturday with a 4 p.m. match at Faulkner.
