MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats used a first period goal by junior midfielder Brittany Bray to beat the visiting (RV) Middle Georgia State Knights 1-0 Thursday night at Wildcat Stadium.
MGS outshot Bethel 5-4 and had a 3-2 margin in shots on goal. Shanay Ricketts had three saves for the Lady Wildcats to help preserve the win.
Bethel moved to 8-4-1 overall and 3-2 in the SSAC. The series is now 3-3-2 between the two programs. The Lady Wildcats are 4-3-1 at home on the season.
Middle Georgia dropped to 9-4-1 and 2-2-1 in league action. They are 5-2 in road games on the year.
Bethel returns to action Saturday hosting Brewton-Parker at 1:30 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
