MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats snapped a two game losing streak with a 5-0 win over visiting Florida College Friday night at Wildcat Stadium in McKenzie. With the victory the Lady Cats moved to 7-4-1 overall and 2-2 in the SSAC. Bethel leads the series 2-0. The Falcons lost their fifth straight and fell to 6-5-2 and 0-5-1.
Janine Dennis scored two first period goals while Danijela Kolaric added a score to give Bethel a 3-0 lead after one. Dennis also added an assist in the period. Dennis scored another goal in the second period giving her the hat trick in the match. Elvira Martin also scored in the second period on an assist from Kolaric.
Bethel had an 18-4 advantage in shots and a 5-2 margin on shots on goal. Bethel's Shanay Ricketts recorded two saves in the game.
Bethel resumes play Thursday hosting SSAC foe Middle Georgia State at 5 p.m.
