WILLIAMSBURG, KY –The Bethel Wildcats outshot the Cumberlands (KY) Friday 24-16 and had an 8-7 advantage in shots on goal but lost a heartbreaker to the Patriots in Williamsburg falling 2-1 in overtime.
Pascal Mohungsi scored the lone goal for the Wildcats. Marvin van der Made had both scores for The Patriots. Marco Taaffe recorded five saves for the Wildcats.
Bethel travels to Cumberland University Thursday for a 3 p.m. match-up in Lebanon. The Cats host Life University in their home opener August 31 with action beginning at 7 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
