MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats snapped a three game losing streak beating a struggling Brewton-Parker squad twice Friday afternoon in Mount Vernon. Bethel won 3-0 and 11-4. The Lady Wildcats improved to 9-15 overall and 3-3 in the SSAC. BPU has dropped 14 straight games and fell to 2-23 and 0-8.
Casey Wade fired a nine inning six-hitter in game one and also drove in two runs in the Wildcat victory. Hollee Henson had the other Bethel RBI with all three runs being scored in the top of the ninth. Autumn Starling suffered the BPU loss.
In game two Bethel scored four runs in the first and seventh innings to win. The Lady Cats rapped out 16 hits in the victory. Iesha Kizer homered, doubled and drove in four runs. Madisen Adkins had three hits and drove in three runs. Maddie Cochran had three hits and an RBI. Henson had three hits and drove a run. Skyla Stanfield had two hits and delivered an RBI. Ciara Aragon had the other RBI in the contest. Billie Douglas picked up the Wildcat win. BPU's Emily Dillard was charged with the loss.
Bethel continues their road trip Saturday playing a doubleheader at Middle Georgia State with action beginning at noon. CST
