PULASKI, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats played their 11th and 12th of 19 straight road games Wednesday afternoon traveling to Pulaski to battle the Martin Methodist RedHawks in a SSAC doubleheader.
It was a tough day for Bethel as they dropped both games by one run. The Hawks won game one 3—2 and then edged the Cats 1-0 in game two.
Lexee Miller drove in both runs in game one. Casey Wade pitched well but was charged with the loss.
Bethel outhit MMC in game two 10-3 but left nine runners on base. Billie Douglas was outstanding firing a three-hitter but was the hard luck loser.
Bethel dropped to 7-15 overall and 1-3 in the SSAC. Martin Methodist improved to 13-9 and 5-1.
The arduous road travels continue as Bethel plays a doubleheader Friday at Brewton-Parker. Action begins in Mount Vernon at 1 p.m. They move on to Cochran, Georgia to meet Middle Georgia Saturday for a twinbill beginning at noon.
