LEBANON, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats continued to be road warriors again Monday traveling to Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee to face the Phoenix. It marked Bethel's fifth and sixth road games of a 19-game road stretch.
Cumberland took game one 8-4. Bethel outhit the Phoenix but could not overcome a big day from CU's Tyra Graham who had a home run and drove in four runs for the home team. Casey Wade suffered the loss while Cumberland's Kayley Caplinger picked up the win. Bethel's Hollee Henson drove in two while Iesha Kizer and Wade had an RBI each.
Game two saw the Phoenix score five runs in the fourth and three in the sixth to win 11-4. Graham went deep again and finished the day with eight RBI's.
Bethel's Henson drove in two runs while Madisen Adkins and Skyla Stanfield each had an RBI. Billie Douglas was charged with the loss.
Bethel dropped to 5-11 on the season while Cumberland improved to 14-3.
Bethel travels to Williams Baptist Tuesday for a 2 p.m. doubleheader.
