TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats continued their stretch of 19 straight road games with a doubleheader in Tuscaloosa, Alabama Friday against the Stillman College Lady Tigers. After falling 4-3 in game one the Lady Cats gained a split with a 4-1 win in the nightcap.
A four-run first inning by Stillman proved to be too much for Bethel to overcome in game one. The Lady Wildcats managed only four hits in the game. Iesha Kizer was credited with an RBI. Casey Wade suffered the loss.
In game the two Lady Cats prevailed behind the pitching of Billie Douglas who pitched seven innings allowing just one run on four hits. Douglas picked up the win. Skyla Stanfield drove in two runs while Maddie Cochran had a RBI for the Cats.
Bethel is 5-9 on the season while Stillman is 2-10.
Bethel travels to Cumberland University Sunday for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
