MCKENZIE, Tenn. –The Bethel Lady Wildcats entered action against Martin Methodist Tuesday night in Crisp Arena winners of six of their last seven matches. That one lone loss was to Martin Methodist last week in Pulaski. The RedHawks were riding a seven game winning streak.
The Hawks for the second time in a week defeated Bethel 3-0. Martin Methodist won 25-21, 25-20, and 25-13.
Jessyca Watson led the Lady Cats with 14 kills. Katelyn Van Hooser had 21 assists while Brooke Burress followed with 16 on the night. Hannah McGowan had 15 digs with Giulia Zilotti contributed with 19 digs in the match.
Bethel fell to 15-6 overall and 8-3 in the SSAC. The Wildcats are 9-2 at home on the season. MMC improved to 16-9 and 10-2.
Bethel resumes play this weekend traveling to Mobile Friday night for a 7 p.m. match. They play at Faulkner Saturday at 2 p.m.
