MCKENZIE, Tenn. –After dropping three straight sets against William Carey and the first two sets to Loyola Saturday afternoon the Bethel Lady Wildcats appeared to be in dire straits Saturday afternoon at Crisp Arena. Bethel showed spunk and character bouncing back to beat the Wolfpack 3-2 winning 16-25, 18-25, 25-14, 25-22 and 15-4.
Katelyn Van Hooser led Bethel with 26 assists. Brooke Burress had 19 dimes on the day. Giulia Zilotti contributed with 21 digs while Daisy Liljenquist had 13 digs.
Brianca Mayfield had 13 kills. Savannah Melton had 11 kills while Maria Azevedo had 10 kills.
Bethel moved to 8- 9 overall and 4-2 in SSAC play. Loyola dropped to 9-10 and 2-4.
Bethel plays host to Martin Methodist Thursday at 7 p.m.
