Dayton, TN - The Lady Wildcat Volleyball squad fell 3-2 to the Bryan College Lady Lions. Bryan jumped out to a 2-0 lead out scoring the Lady Cats 25-19 in both of the first two sets. The Cats clawed back to take set three 25-21 and set four 25-18. In set five, the Lady Cats jumped out to a 10-5 lead, but the Lady Lions charged back to win 15-13.
Brianca Mayfield (JR/Memphis, TN) led Bethel with 15 kills. Giulia Zilotti (JR/Sao Paulo, Brazil) had 26 digs while Katelyn Van Hooser (FR/Princeton, KY) recorded 21 assists
The Lady Wildcats dropped to 0-2 while the Lady Lions moved to 1-0.
The Lady Wildcats bounced back to defeat the Pikeville Bears 3-0. The Lady Cats prevailed 25-21 after a nip and tuck with the Bears in set one. After early ties in both sets two and three, the Lady Cats crusied to victory 25-16 and 25-14.
Daisy Liljenquist (SR/Dyersburg, TN) and Jessyca Watson (JR/Gallatin, TN) led the attack with 8 kills each. Giulia Zilotti had 27 digs while Katelyn Van Hooser and Brooke Burress (FR/Alamo, TN) had 15 assists each.
The Lady Wildcats improved to 1-2 while the Lady Bears dropped to 2-2.
The Lady Cats will face Southeastern at 1pm and Asbury at 5pm tomorrow.
