MCKENZIE, Tenn. –The Bethel Wildcats unofficially opened their season Friday night at Wildcat Stadium in McKenzie beating the visiting Union University Bulldogs 4-1 in an exhibition affair.
The story of the game was SSAC All-Conference performer and Co-captain Kebba Demba. Demba scored three goals and added an assist in the Wildcat victory. Jarique Bristol scored the other Bethel goal. Treva Dykes added an assist.
Bethel travels to CBU Monday for the last exhibition of the year. The match is scheduled for 6 p.m.
The Wildcats open the regular season on the road at Texas A & M Texarkana Friday at 6 p.m.
Bethel's home opener is September 2 at 4 p.m. against No. 19 John Brown University.
