MCKENZIE, Tenn. –The Lady Wildcats entered Tuesday's action against Central Baptist attempting to bounce back from losing three of their last four games as they played host to the visiting Mustangs. Bethel entered the action 11-3 against non-conference opponents. Bethel won game one 6-3 and edged CBC 2-1 in eight innings in game two.
Dallas Weatherly and Alex Turner both hit huge homers and drove in three runs each. Weatherly had three hits in the game. Madisen Adkins picked up the win for the Lady Wildcats.
Game two saw a pitcher's duel between Bethel's Casey Wade and CBC's Madison Skelton. After seven scoreless innings the Mustangs scored a single run in the top of the eighth but the Lady Wildcats responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning for the win. Caylee Crews drove in a run in the Bethel walk-off victory.
Central Baptist dropped to 8-16 on the year.
Bethel improved to 15-11 and will play host to the Union University Lady Bulldogs Wednesday. The two old rivals begin their doubleheader at 2 p.m. at Wildcat Field.
