MCKENZIE, Tenn. –The Bethel Lady Wildcats dropped three of their four SSAC games over the weekend. They lost to No. 8 Brenau 3-2 and 6-4 in their doubleheader Friday. They split with Middle Georgia State Saturday. Bethel won 8-3 in game one and lost 10-0 in game two.
Five MGS errors were key components in Bethel's win in game one Saturday. Mady Kate Gantt and Alex Turner each drove in two runs in the game. Bailey Moore picked up the win while Casey Wade was credited with a save. Bethel managed only four hits in their loss in game two.
Highlighting Friday's action found Caylee Crews driving in three runs in Bethel's 6-4 loss. Alex Turner drove in the two runs in the 3-2 loss.
The Lady Wildcats came out of the weekend at 13-11 overall and 2-8 in SSAC action.
The Lady Cats return to action Tuesday hosting Central Baptist in a twin bill with action beginning at 2 p.m.
