MCKENZIE, Tenn. –The Bethel Wildcats won game two of their twin-bill against visiting Indiana Wesleyan Saturday winning 8-5. In doing so the Cats won three of the four games of the weekend series. IWU won game one of the doubleheader 3-2.
In game one the Wildcats took a 2-1 lead into the top of the seventh but the visiting Wildcats scored two runs to win 3-2. Hayden Edwards suffered the loss for Bethel. Zach Crocker and Gabriel Matias each drove in a run in the opener.
Bethel captured game two using a six run third inning to propel them to a 9-6 record on the season. Indiana Wesleyan fell to 8-6 on the year. Bethel's Crocker and Colin Roberts each drove in two runs. Matias, Jack Surber and Clayton Parker each had a RBI. Dakeith Burton picked up the win for the Wildcats.
Bethel remains at home hosting Lindenwood-Belleville Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Wildcat Park.
