MCKENZIE, Tenn. –The Bethel Wildcats battled the No. 9 Mobile Rams to the hilt and earned a 1-1 two overtimes tie with the Rams Saturday night at Wildcat Stadium in McKenzie.
Sam White gave Mobile a 1-0 in the first period. The Cats tied it late in the period on a goal by Jerry Wiltsher. Luke Sellers had the assist. The Rams had a 10-5 margin in shots and finished with a 4-1 shots on goal advantage. Marco Taaffe recorded three saves for Bethel.
The Cats moved to 10 -4-1 and 3-2-1 in the SSAC. Mobile has a 10-2 - 2 mark and is 5-0-1 in the league.
Seniors Sam Robson, Kebba Demba, Treva Dykes, Luke Sellers, Christopher Hill, Michael Mysiewicz and Kevin Carrion were honored in pre-game ceremonies.
Bethel closes out the regular season at Martin Methodist Saturday at 4 p.m.
