HATTIESBURG, MS – The Bethel Lady Wildcats were 11-2 and riding a four game win streak entering action Wednesday night at William Carey. The Lady Cats knew it would be a tall task facing the No. 4 Lady Crusaders who were 12-0.
It proved to be just that as WCU outshot Bethel 18-7 and had a decisive 9-1 advantage in shots on goal in route to a 3-0 win over the Lady Wildcats. Brittany Bray had four of Bethel's seven shots while Danielle Krzyzaniak recorded six saves in goal for the Lady Cats.
Bethel fell to 3-2 in SSAC play while WCU moved to 5-0 in league action.
Bethel returns home after three straight road games to host No. 10 Mobile at 5 p.m. in Wildcat Stadium.
